Quarterbacks
Purplish = below median · greenish = above median. aDoT and CMP% may not match official stats: spikes and throwaways are excluded. Quarterbacks are not punished for receiver fumbles on completed passes.
Offensive
Explosive plays gain 12+ yards; success is EPA > 0. SCR is the rate a series earns a new first down — hover for the number of series. Boxes are percentiles of team-games 2016–2025.
Defensive
A havoc play is a tackle for loss, sack, interception, forced fumble or pass breakup, counted once per play.
Turnovers
Turnover EPA is the expected points swung on giveaways and takeaways, from each team’s point of view.
Note: SR = success rate (percent of plays with positive EPA), 1st% = percent of plays that earned first downs.
Drive report
Note: Yardline and home WP denote yard line (distance from opponent end zone) and home win probability at start of drive.

Excitement
Each bar is one play, and its height is how much that play changed who was going to win — a late go-ahead touchdown moves it a long way, a first-quarter punt barely at all. Adding up the whole game gives its excitement, which is then ranked against every game since 2011. Overtime is left out, because the win probability model is unreliable there; a game that reaches it gets a fixed credit instead. Method from Mike Beuoy’s Quantifying Excitement.
Note: NFL provides left, middle, and right for pass location. Horizontal space within each of these 3 groupings is randomly assigned.
